Just wan to check with all Class Mates here,

if u people are interested in getting a Class T-shirt?? so that we can wear for our BBQ OUTING !!!!

i can arrange for the printing n making of the T-Shirts..
for pricing wise, i can get it ard $10 to $12.....

all ideas n suggestions are Welcome.

Personally i think it is a tshirt worth making as we are together for Year 1 only and who knows we may even be together for Year 3?? haha

Hi all Class mates

First let me apologise for today's announcements as there were some mis communications.

Please ignore the earlier announcements that i have made earlier.

1) The Scuba Diving and the Marine research volunteers are the same thing.

Captain Frederick has a Marine Research Lab at labrador Park.
He needs students volunteers that have Diving Licence to carry out some diving trips.

As for those without Diving License, you also can volunteer but u will be assisting him in the Lab at labrador Park.

Those who are interested, kindly reply me or let me know by Monday.

after 'surveying around' for the past few days, we tot that mayb we should start the activity only in the next semester.....cos there's simply too much activities on the way......Poly 50 on 6th August and after national day, would be our next set of exams already.

Come on! lets jiayou for our Poly50 PEOPLE.......

aiseh, ALEX FUNG here sia........alrites, i have two stuff to tell you guys so pls pay attention to the following items:

1) I have just created a Photobucket account for DNS0809, you guys are welcome to upload all the interesting stuff (photos and videos) into the account......we'll make it a combined account for both DNS1a and DNS1b......hopefully, both classes will actually not miss out whatever the other class did......

For MEL CAmpers and PAllada peeps, i beg u guys to spend some time to upload ALL your photos taken during yur trips, come on share them with the rest of peeps (btw, i nw doing so already)

For the rest of the people, why not take some time and go check out what you've actually missed....... believe me, it'll be good cos there's interesting photos.

2) Alrite guys, let me ask you a qn..... when was the last time you actually went exercising?.....do answer seriously......below is what's gonna change yur life

I am initiating a swimming session for the class......date is nt set, most probably every Wednesdays afternoon.....IT's tentative......do post yur comments on the tagboard.....would like to hear wad u've got to say..

y this is important?
- we'll be future sea-farers and i do believe that fitness is an important factor for us to do well
- of course, when it comes to sea, swimming plays a good part, although it's nt compulsory for all of us to swim......but, y nt
- It'll be bonding time for the class
- It's time for us to chill out after a taxing week at school
- dun even worry about yur appearance (eg: nt nice bods) cos after all these trainings, i'm sure u'll look like jeremiah

people, pls support by participating actively in the programmes

Capt Raj intends to conduct a retest due to the high Percentage of failure in the last ICA.
Pls study the following tips that he has provided;

1)Definitions

a) latitude
b) longtitude
c) Rhumbline
d) D'Lat
e) D'Long
f) Variation
g) Deviation
h) Great Circle
i) Small Circle

2) Plane Sailing - Dep = D'Long x Cos m Lat

3) Parallel Sailing - Dep = D'Long x Cos Lat

4) Mercator Sailing - Distance = D'Lat x sec course
Tan course = D'Long/DMP
Finding DMP.

For defintions, he may choose to give any 5 or all of the defintions.
and one questions on each sailing will be tested as well.
